Welder/ Fabricator 2nd Shift Lead

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding on metal components and assemblies using various welding processes. This position requires strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently during off-shift hours.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG, TIG, welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components
Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
Set up and operate welding equipment, including fixturing and positioning of parts
Weld in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions as required
Inspect and test welds for quality and structural integrity
Grind, clean, and finish welded assemblies to specified standards
Maintain welding equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition
Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA guidelines
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors
Meet daily and weekly production targets while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required
2+ years of proven welding experience (MIG/TIG preferred)
Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) is a strong plus
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and metallurgy
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance on 2nd shift
Must pass a weld test as part of the interview process
Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding
Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on 2nd shift
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding issues

Entry Level Welding Robot Operator
Description
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welding Robot Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining robotic welding systems to produce high-quality welded components efficiently and safely. You will play a key role in ensuring consistent weld quality, maximizing production output, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate robotic welding systems (including programming, loading parts, and running production cycles)
Load and unload parts onto fixtures and robotic cells
Monitor weld quality through visual inspection and basic measurement tools
Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting on welding robots and related equipment
Adjust robotic parameters (weld speed, voltage, wire feed, etc.) to optimize performance
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures at all times
Document production data, downtime, and quality issues
Collaborate with weld technicians, engineers, and quality control team to resolve issues
Assist with fixture changes and program adjustments as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S standards)
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in welding, robotics, or related field preferred
1–3 years of experience operating robotic welding systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Motoman, or similar)
Strong understanding of MIG/TIG welding processes and robotic automation
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
Basic programming knowledge of industrial robots is highly desired
Familiarity with weld inspection methods and quality standards (AWS, ISO, etc.)
Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with standing for extended periods
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
Reliable attendance and strong safety mindset required
Preferred Skills
Certified Welder (AWS or equivalent)
Experience with offline programming software
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, manufacturing software)
